About Our Co-op

Vision

We aim to gather and empower aligned creators and conscious community members through a cooperative framework for economic, social and cultural action, toward the emergence of planetary culture devoted to amplifying the goodness, truth, and beauty in the world and in ourselves.

Community

As a member-owned publishing platform and creative community, Cosmos Co-op provides a space for writers, artists, and other creatives to develop, produce, and promote their work in an equitable environment. We nurture generative community between emerging creatives and their supporters and peers. Our online platform and in-person clubs provide a cooperative framework for collaboration, connection, and conversations that amplify our individual voices and visions, while contributing to a greater whole.

The members of Cosmos are poets and philosophers, scientists and mystics, activists and ecologists, visual artists and musicians—people who find themselves at the evolving edges of established fields and modes of thought, or at the uncommon intersections of them—and who are committed to boldly exploring new horizons through their work.

Through workshops and courses, community events and discussions, and collective fundraising and publishing opportunities, Cosmos enables creatives to develop, produce, sell and distribute their work—all while co-owning the platform, and simultaneously generating the essential cultural capital that nourishes a mindful, thriving, values-driven community.

Co-op

Cosmos Cooperative is structured as a co-op, specifically a limited cooperative association (L.C.A.) in Colorado USA, and is open to members from all over the world. Cosmos is structured as a multi-stakeholder cooperative, offering multiple levels of ownership and participation. Our guiding document is the Constitution describing the organizational design, ownership structure, and bylaws of Cosmos Cooperative. Learn more about our unique platform co-op model.

Membership

Supporting Membership is for people who want to buy in to Cosmos and be a part of our mission and vision! Their main focus is supporting the co-op. This is our most accessible type of membership starting at just $12/month, with the largest number of members.

Within Supporting Membership, there are three nominal tiers of financial commitment: Sustainer ($12+/month), Sponsor ($36+/month), and Benefactor ($108+/month). Learn more and join here.

Creative Membership is for people who want to create through and with Cosmos. Creatives receive access to extensive benefits, services, and opportunities, designed to boost their creative efforts and career in various ways. In return, Creatives are required to give back to the co-op in terms of both money and hands-on participation, to help foster a thriving community. Creative membership requires a competitive application, and costs $25 a month to start. Apply here.

Additionally, our co-op has worker members and investors. Membership in Cosmos means you actually own a part of the co-op, and you share in benefits, rights, and responsibilities along with your fellow members. You can start participating in our community at no cost with a guest account, but you’re not considered a member unless you’ve officially joined and are paying regular dues.

Initiatives

Infinite Conversations

Metapsychosis

metapsychosis.com

Metapsychosis is an online (and forthcoming print) journal of consciousness, literature, and art, publishing original writing and integral art from the evolving edges of contemporary philosophy, spirituality, storytelling, and poetics. It features authors who blend the visionary with the literary, the surreal with the subtle, engaging the complexity of our human condition with dark lucidity and compelling nuance.

The journal is curated and produced by a team of Cosmos members and is always open to new contributors. Members can submit to Metapsychosis at any time, whereas the general public may only submit during open windows. You can become a premium subscriber of Metapsychosis, or simply join as a Supporting Member to get the same premium perks.

Untimely Books

untimelybooks.com

Untimely Books is an independent cooperative publishing imprint of Cosmos Co-op, publishing literary works that illumine the mind, question the contemporary, and reimagine horizons of thought, feeling, and action for a planetary age. Untimely Books serves as a conduit for diverse forms of writing by Cosmos members, including original works of fiction, poetry, philosophy, essays, and memoir.

Background

Cosmos Co-op was founded in 2016 by Marco V Morelli, in dialogue and collaboration with a small group of co-founding members who made their way to the project over the years. The co-op grew in a patient and relationship-based way for the ensuing decade, accumulating dozens of collaborators and thousands of audience members and participants through salons and discussion groups on Infinite Conversations, as well as the publications put out by Metapsychosis Journal and Untimely Books.

In late 2025, Cosmos Cooperative re-launched as a fully fledged co-op with formal membership, benefits, and services. It continues to grow and evolve, publishing culturally innovative content and fostering a thoughtful and collaborative community.
