Bring your ideas, questions, and feedback—or just a listening ear—to the Cosmos Community monthly meet-up. Open to all Co-op members and curious guests, this relaxed-format gathering is a chance to get to know your fellow creatives and cooperators; get caught up what’s new in the Co-op; and introduce yourself to the community, if you so desire.
This meet-up takes place virtually on the fourth Friday of each month at 12 pm MST. The core part of the meeting goes for one hour, followed by an optional 30+ minutes for anyone who wants to linger and chat. These meetings are recorded and shared in a private channel in the Infinite Conversations forum, for those who can’t make it and would like to participate asynchronously.
What to Expect
This month, in addition to getting to know one another and share what we’re up, we’ll also explore a special question: What Is Integrality?
We’ll be asking this in the context of some of our members attending the Integral Leadership in Action (ILiA) “Embodied Integral” conference a few weeks ago, and the upcoming Integral European Conference, where our founder, Marco V Morelli, will be in attendance and giving a workshop on “Poetry as an Integral Practice in the Age of AI.” Yet the word “integral,” as a philosophical term, may be unfamiliar to some, or it may have different meanings for different people. As Marco has written (in an email correspondence):
I see the essence of Cosmos as coming from ‘Integral Consciousness’ (when at our best), without necessarily being about it. I hope that distinction makes sense.
We are framework-inclusive (Integral is in our DNA), but not framework-centric. Rather, we center the person, the community, the culture—which is not just about a mental map, but can express itself in many different (creative) forms, even among people who don’t identify with “integral” (yet their consciousness could be described that way, or there is simply an [integral-ish] vibe attracts and connect us).
I’ve been very deliberate that knowledge of / interest in Integral Theory not be a litmus test for participation in Cosmos—and also about including other integrals, such as Gebser, Aurobindo, etc.
At this community meet-up, we’ll get to talk about what “integrality” (which could simply mean holistic being, balancing opposites, both/and rather than either/or thinking, and so on) means to each of us and, perhaps, collectively. Please join us whether you know anything about “integral” or not. Either way, it will be an opportunity to learn, explore, and connect.
