Kayla graduated from the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Illustration. After college she worked as an historical interpreter at a state-run historical farming site; in the graphics department of an educational technology company; as a barista; in the sales/graphic design department of a dealer for earth movers, in a city-owned arts performance venue, and as a graphic designer in a mom & pop print shop. She’s been a freelancer since 2006.
Kayla has been helping Cosmos Co-op along since the very beginning. She’s worked on every website under the Cosmos Co-op umbrella and on every Untimely Books publication to date.
She resides in Colorado (via Minnesota & Wisconsin) with her husband Marco, is the mother of two daughters, and enjoys gardening, a variety of handicrafts, and hiking.
